MY STORY: The Series

As a photographer I’ve started working on a new project this year hopefully. I’m calling it “My Story”. Stories are the historical evidence of our lives. Everyone has a story to tell, but for some reason people often don’t take the time to listen. I want this to be an inspiration to people in their lives: creatively, emotionally, and artistically. Most of all, you are not alone in this world. With over 6 billion people inhabiting the planet we find a way to isolate ourselves mentally; believing the things we do and say have no impact on others or those 6 billion people we share this planet with. I will be photographing and video taping different people and their stories. Some of these people will not be familiar to you; average people, common people. There may be people you see in the media or someone you see every day walking down the street. The goal of this project is to reveal the pages of the human soul. Different people of different races. Different beliefs and different traditions. You may not agree with them all, but thats not the point. The goal is to open your eyes to the people you come in contact with every day; for the first time or the hundredth time. Enjoy the people around you, and take the time to listen to what they say. You never know when it might be important. I am planning on releasing the first Story this week. Please feel free to leave a comment or suggestion for the next story. Who know’s: it might be you… Brett

PS: Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms who put up with their kids and raise them so that they might tell their own story.
